AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION FIRST AID – Mike Hall
This course is designed for individuals with limited or no medical training. Students will be trained on basics of first aid, medical emergencies,(including choking, breathing problems, shock) inuries (bleeding, broken bones and burns) as well as environmental emergencies. Students will receive a HeartSaver First Aid Course Completion Card within 10 days of course completion.

Beyond Paleo:Moving from a Paleo Diet to a Paleo Template
Over the last couple of years, as the popularity of the Paleo diet has expanded, a lot of controversy has emerged over exactly what a Paleo diet is. Part of the problem is that there are now a number of authors and bloggers that advocate what might generally be called a Paleo diet, but with slight variations in each case. This has unfortunately led to some confusion for people new to the “Paleo diet”.
In this class, Katrina will discuss why we should stop trying to define the “Paleo diet” and start thinking about it instead as a “Paleo template”.
What’s the difference? A Paleo diet implies a particular approach with clearly defined parameters that all people should follow. A Paleo template implies a more flexible and individualized approach that can then be customized based on the unique needs and experience of each person.
But here’s the key difference between a Paleo diet and a Paleo template: following a diet doesn’t encourage the participant to think, experiment or consider his or her specific circumstances, while following a template does.
Katrina will discuss an approach that goes “Beyond Paleo” and recognizes the biochemical individuality of each person. It also acknowledges that although observing the diet of our ancestors is an excellent starting place, it’s just that – a starting place. Handouts and Recipes will be included.

BOKWA® FITNESS - Josephine Doroja
BOKWA® is a new Group Fitness Program that is rapidly growing. BOKWA® is not really a dance workout – there is no choreography and no counting steps. Participants draw letters and numbers with their feet, while moving together to music in free form rhythm. If you can move and you can spell, you can do Bokwa®. Class held in the Talbot Gym.

Fly Fishing and Casting 2 - William Ciaurro
For those who completed Intro to Fly Casting and others interested in fine tuning their beginning fly fishing skills.
4 weeks, beginning May 1, 6-8:30pm, $100
HEARTSAVER ADULT CPR/AED – Mike Hall
This 3-hour interactive course covers adult/child CPR, how to use an AED, how to help choking victims, and how/when to phone 911. You will receive a American Heart Association CPR Adult Certification. Card issued within 10 days of course completion.

INTRO TO FLY CASTING - William Ciaurro
This 4 week course that will cover single hand to switch rod casting. Each student will learn at their own pace with group as well as individual instruction. William is an International Federation of Fly Fishers Certified single and two hand casting master. A dramatic increase in your fishing consistency is the focus of this course.

INTRODUCTION TO BALLROOM DANCING- William Vanderhoof
This beginner class requires no experience, just a willing partner! Learn the basics of foxtrot, merengue, rhumba, and swing. Class size imited to six couples. Please wear comfortable shoes-no sneakers or rubber soled shoes.
$90 per couple. Continuing class will start at 7:30 pm. Monday nights.

REIKI I - Erica Rock
Become a certified Reiki I practitioner. Receive 6 plus hours of in class healing time. Since this is a certification class expect to practice outside of class in between weeks. 5 student minimum.

TAI CHI – Taoist Tai Chi Society
This course is an introduction to the gentle art of Tai Chi – a series of slow connected movements that improve balance, strength, flexibility, digestion, concentration and more. Suitable for all ages and types whether athletic, sedentary or in between. Students may stay beyond this class offering to learn the entire set. Class is held in the Taoist Tai Chi Studio, adjacent to our office.

WELLNESS YOGA – Jeanne Goddard, Pathways Yoga Teacher
Gain more energy by learning simple, easy techniques to balance breathing while gaining control over your body and maintaining complete range of movement. Stress relief and meditation practices included. Bring a yoga mat or beach size towel.
