DANGERS OF ENERGY DRINKS - Tami Cole

Research suggests that about one-third of teens and young adults regularly consume energy drinks, BUT what is really in them and what dangers do they pose for our youth and young adults? Join me for a Power Point presentation as we look inside energy drinks. Plus tips on natural ways to increase energy.

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION FIRST AID – Mike Hall
This course is designed for individuals with limited or no medical training. Students will be trained on basics of first aid, medical emergencies,(including choking, breathing problems, shock) inuries (bleeding, broken bones and burns) as well as environmental emergencies. Students will receive a HeartSaver First Aid Course Completion Card within 10 days of course completion.

BODY STRENGTHENING & STRETCH – Susan Duffyffy
With a focus on strengthening muscles and improving posture, balance and flexibility, this music-inspired class combines yoga and stretch exercises and will leave you feeling strong, centered and calm. Bring a yoga mat or thick towel and wear comfortable clothing.

HEARTSAVER ADULT CPR/AED – Mike Hall
This 3-hour interactive course covers adult/child CPR, how to use an AED, how to help choking victims, and how/when to phone 911. You will receive a American Heart Association CPR Adult Certification. Card issued within 10 days of course completion.

INTRODUCTION TO BALLROOM DANCING- William Vanderhoof
This beginner class requires no experience, just a willing partner! Learn the basics of foxtrot, waltz, rhumba, and swing. Class size limited to six couples. Please wear comfortable shoes-no sneakers or rubber soled shoes. $90 per couple. Continuing students should register for the 7:30 pm time slot.

INTRODUCTION TO FALUN GONG – Marcus Gale
Falun Gong is an advanced chi-gong (energy) practice originating in ancient China. It promotes energy flow in the body through five easy to learn exercises. Practiced in over 70 countries worldwide, Falun Gong may improve quality of life by producing increased physical energy and mental clarity. This introductory class will provide a brief overview of the practice plus a demonstration of the exercises. Falun Gong instruction is free , however EAE requires a small fee.

PRESENCE: QUIET THE MIND & LIVE IN THE NOW - Erica Rock
Learn to live and be in Present Moment Awareness, living and working with a quiet mind. "Presence" is where you are taught to return to your natural state of peaceful, calm, centered living and the best part is, this method is very fast taking only minutes to enter into and experience. This is beyond meditation and mindfulness, "Presence" is the result of what many people work hard to achieve after 20 or so years of dedicated daily meditation practice. Course fee includes a "Presence" video for you to keep bringing yourself into this state whenever you wish and a lifetime of weekly "Presence support calls" to ensure your success and make you permanent in this state. Suggested reading includes "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle.

This course is an introduction to the gentle art of Tai Chi – a series of slow connected movements that improve balance, strength, flexibility, digestion, concentration and more.
