Who We Are
The Adult Learner Services Tutorial Program offers adults free, confidential, one-to-one and small group instruction in basic reading, writing, math, English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), and preparation for the high school equivalency exam (HiSETtm ). Volunteer tutors receive training and ongoing support as they work in partnership with their students to reach individual educational goals.
The heart of the program lies in one-to-one tutoring. Meetings with the volunteer tutor are private and happen at a time and place that is mutually convenient. Many people find they flourish with personalized attention they receive.
